Recently we acquired a new printer which is attached to our home network. Setting up our various Macs to use it was a dream, the work of a minute or so, as each computer found the printer using Apple’s Bonjour service. My wife’s Windows PC was a different story.
I had to download a 30mb installer. Run the program. Reboot the PC. Total time, perhaps 10 minutes. A small example but typical of the sort of differences I have found between OS X and Windows in routine maintenance tasks.
