An article on keyboard shortcuts in HowToGeek caught my eye this morning. The richness of keyboard shortcuts in OS X continues to amaze me (hold shift whilst minimising a window – why would anyone bother to program that?). Most software companies to make a song and dance about them but not Apple. Perhaps it is something to do with their predeliction for mouse/touch interfaces. Who knows?

I am always keen to learn more shortcuts as I have long believed that using a keyboard – if you know the keys – is quicker than a mouse. Indeed, I have a theory that MS popularised mice in early versions of Windows to slow users down to match sluggish performance of Word and Excel. There are a couple in this article that I did not know and some more in this one from Appstorm.
