More inspiration from Lifehacker, this time on writing code. I wrote my first code in 1982 on an Apple II (with a whopping 16kb memory) using BASIC. Since then I have very occasionally dabbled with other languages including Pascal, Visual Basic, macro and script tools, usually with a limited, specific object in mind and often tweaking exisiting code.
I would like to be able to code a full program, something that I want. Perhaps my ideal To Do manager or the kind of computer wargame that I would enjoy playing. I have so many other projects on the go that this will have to stay on the back-burner for now, but one day …..
